Cast steel closed chock is a fixed deck mooring fitting widely installed on ship bulwark or deck edge. It guides mooring ropes and steel wires while restraining the cable during berthing. This closed chock features enclosed double curved arch design. The smooth rounded inner profile reduces sharp edges, greatly lowering abrasion and fatigue damage to mooring lines and wire ropes. Manufactured by cast steel process, it delivers high tensile strength and impact resistance under heavy mooring loads. Available in a full range of sizes and working load limits. Surface can be supplied as raw casting, primer painted or hot-dip alvanized. Material test certificates are available for shipyard newbuilding and vessel refit orders.
