Raised Watertight Single Bolt Oval Hatch is a classic marine access hatch with raised coaming and single bolt central locking mechanism, commonly fitted on cargo ships, work vessels and barges for tank and compartment access. The single central bolt design enables quick opening and closing operation. Once tightened, the hatch cover presses evenly against the continuous rubber gasket to achieve reliable watertight sealing. The raised coaming effectively prevents deck water from flowing into the compartment in rough sea conditions. A safety retention chain is equipped to keep he hatch lid attached to the frame when open, avoiding loss or dropping.
Fabricated with carbon steel, sandblasted and marine anti-corrosion painted. Multiple standard sizes are in stock, custom dimensions are acceptable upon request. Marine inspection documents can be supplied for shipyard newbuilding and vessel retrofit projects.
